United States President Donald Trump has announced that a ceasefire has been \u201cfully agreed\u201d between Israel and Iran, stating that hostilities in what he terms \u201cThe 12-Day War\u201d will cease within 24 hours.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total ceasefire \u2014 in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions \u2014 for 12 hours, at which point the war will be considered, ended,\u201d Trump writes on Truth Social.<\/p>\n
According to the post, Iran will cease fire first, with Israel ceasing fire 12 hours later.<\/p>\n
\u201cUpon the 24th Hour, an official end to the 12-day war will be saluted by the world,\u201d Trump says.<\/p>\n
Trump adds that during the ceasefire, both sides will be \u201cpeaceful and respectful\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina, courage, and intelligence to end what should be called \u2018The 12-Day War\u2019,\u201d Trump writes.<\/p>\n
