{"id":13798,"date":"2025-12-02T09:41:42","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T09:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weeklyyoung.pk\/?p=13798"},"modified":"2025-12-02T09:41:42","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T09:41:42","slug":"ahead-of-pti-protests-in-twin-cities-tallal-chaudhry-says-compliance-with-section-144-will-be-ensured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weeklyyoung.pk\/?p=13798","title":{"rendered":"Ahead of PTI protests in twin cities, Tallal Chaudhry says compliance with Section 144 will be ensured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry said on Tuesday that compliance with Section 144 would be ensured in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, where the PTI plans to hold protests today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether they come to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) or the Adiala jail, action under Section 144 would be carried out without any discrimination,\u201d Chaudhry warned while speaking to the media in Islamabad. He particularly urged PTI-backed parliamentarians to \u201cabide by the law\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code is a legal provision that empowers district administrations to prohibit an assembly of four or more people in an area for a limited period.<\/p>\n<p>The opposition has decided to stage protests outside the IHC and Rawalpindi\u2019s Adiala jail \u2014 where PTI founder Imran Khan is incarcerated \u2014 against restrictions on the former prime minister\u2019s visitation rights.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports from the twin cities, security arrangements have been in place in Rawalpindi, with pickets set up on routes leading to the Adiala jail.
