{"id":13928,"date":"2025-12-07T23:40:48","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T23:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weeklyyoung.pk\/?p=13928"},"modified":"2025-12-07T23:40:48","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T23:40:48","slug":"fo-rejects-indian-foreign-ministers-inflammatory-misleading-remarks-about-pakistans-armed-forces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weeklyyoung.pk\/?p=13928","title":{"rendered":"FO rejects Indian foreign minister\u2019s \u2018inflammatory, misleading\u2019 remarks about Pakistan\u2019s armed forces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Foreign Office (FO) rejected and condemned on Sunday the \u201chighly inflammatory, baseless and irresponsible\u201d remarks by Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar about Pakistan\u2019s armed forces, terming them \u201cmisleading\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The FO\u2019s condemnation came a day after Jaishankar alleged that India\u2019s core challenges with its neighbouring country stemmed directly from Pakistan\u2019s military establishment.<\/p>\n<p>In its reaction to his remarks, the FO underscored that Pakistan was a responsible state, and all its institutions, including armed forces, were a pillar of national security, dedicated to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The FO\u2019s statement also referred to a brief four-day conflict between India and Pakistan in May, saying that it \u201cvividly demonstrated Pakistan armed forces\u2019 professionalism as well as their resolve to defend the motherland and the people of Pakistan against any Indian aggression in a befitting, effective yet responsible manner\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo amount of propaganda can belie this truth,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>It labelled attempts by the Indian leadership to defame Pakistan\u2019s state institutions and its leadership as \u201cpart of a propaganda campaign designed to distract attention from India\u2019s destabilising actions in the region and beyond, as well as state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch incendiary rhetoric only exemplifies the extent of India\u2019s disregard for amity, peace and stability in our region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement said that instead of making misleading remarks about the armed forces of Pakistan, \u201cIndia must investigate the fascist and revisionist Hindutva ideology that has unleashed a reign of mob justice, lynchings, arbitrary detentions and demolition of properties and places of worship\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Indian state and leadership both had become \u201chostage of this terror in the name of religion,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further stressed that \u201cPakistan believes in co-existence, dialogue and diplomacy.
