PESHAWAR: At least six members of a family, including two women and children, were killed on Sunday when gunmen opened indiscriminate fire following a \u201cdomestic dispute\u201d in the Sabirabad area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Karak district.<\/p>\n
According to a Rescue 1122 official, \u201cUpon receiving the report, rescue officials rushed to the spot immediately, accompanied by ambulances and medical teams.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the bodies were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The rescue official further said that a six-year-old and a three-month-old girl were among the deceased.<\/p>\n
Suspect apprehended
\nAccording to a police spokesperson, Shaukat Khan, \u201cUpon receiving information about the incident, District Police Officer Saud Khan took serious notice and directed the Sabirabad station house officer to take immediate action.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cActing swiftly, police arrested the suspect within moments of the incident and recovered the weapon used in the crime,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said that the incident occurred following a \u201cdomestic dispute\u201d when a man opened indiscriminate fire on family members, killing six people on the spot.<\/p>\n
