Lahore, December 11, 2025:
The Pakistan Japan Socioeconomic Association (PJSA) successfully organized the Japanese Language Speech Event 2025 at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore, bringing together students, educators, diplomats, and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of linguistic excellence, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment. The event reflected PJSA’s continued commitment to promoting Japanese language education in Pakistan and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Japan, setting a dignified tone of mutual respect and bilateral harmony. The participants were welcomed through an opening address by the President of PJSA, Ms. Sitara Arif, whose dedicated leadership and unwavering support for youth development have played a pivotal role in expanding opportunities for students to learn the Japanese language. Through her vision and sustained efforts, she has fostered motivation, built a strong learning community, and encouraged students to become independent, skilled, and productive contributors to society.

Student speech sessions formed the core of the event, with participants from various cities showcasing remarkable proficiency in the Japanese language, along with confidence and cultural understanding. The program was further enriched by a Japanese theatrical performance, traditional Japanese dance, and singing presentations, all of which were warmly appreciated by the audience.

An interactive Sakura Quiz Program and the introduction of the PJSA Incentive Hub added further momentum to student engagement and learning. In line with its vision, PJSA has also introduced several initiatives despite limited resources, including the Habataki Program, Nurture Nippon, Tsubomi Credits, and the Everyday Learning Board Program, all aimed at enhancing student interest and supporting Japanese language learning.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Syed Nadeem Shah, Honorary Consul General of Japan, Quetta, who lauded PJSA’s efforts in promoting Japanese language education and fostering long-term cooperation between Pakistan and Japan. The Chief Honorable Judge, Mr. Hidekazu Tanemura (JICA), appreciated the high standards demonstrated by the participants, delivered his remarks, and announced the results of the competition.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Tsubomi Credits, awards, shields, and prizes, followed by a group photo session and a networking lunch. The Japanese Language Speech Event 2025 marked a significant step toward empowering Pakistani youth, enhancing educational collaboration, and deepening cultural bonds between Pakistan and Japan through language, talent, and a shared vision.
